HAMPDEN — A Bath man died Tuesday afternoon in a fiery automobile crash on Interstate 95, Maine State Police reported Wednesday.
Mark Aubut, 53, was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon SUV on Interstate 95 at about 5:15 p.m. when his vehicle left the highway, hit a tree, and erupted into flames. No one else was reported hurt, and no other vehicles were involved.
Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash, but ruled out speed as a factor.
