1941  –  2019

Brunswick, Nancy Lee Holt 77, died peacefully after a brief illness at Mid Coast Hospital on May 2, 2019. Nancy was born in Brunswick on August 23, 1941. She is the daughter of Anna Avis White and George Clarence Seymour Holt.

Nancy was a fun, loving, carefree lady. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved to collect dolls and coffee mugs. Nancy loved her family very much, loved her friends, and the holidays were special to her. She also loved her outings with nephew Bobby. She will be sadly missed by all.  She also will be sadly missed by her Independence Association Family of 43 years. Nancy was known as  ”the mother hen of community living.” The family would like to thank Independence Association for all the years of love and support shown to Nancy.

Nancy was preceded by her mother, Anna Avis White and her Father, George Holt.  Stepfather, J Robert Lavallee Sr. and Stepbrother, Robert C. Lavallee Jr, who was killed in the Vietnam, 1967.  Sister in-law, Sharon Holt, wife of Don Holt.

Nancy is survived by a brother, Don Holt of Anson, a sister, Helen Ruby and husband Jack, of Bowdoin, Stepbrother Peter Lavallee and wife Diane of Topsham, and a stepsister, Connie Giles, of Dewittville, New York. Nancy had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins .

Visiting hours will be Tuesday May 7th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St, in Brunswick. Celebration of Nancy’s life will be 11:00AM, Wednesday May 8th at the Funeral Home. To leave a note of condolence or share a memory, please visit www.brackettfh.com.
