DERRY, N.H. — Police are looking for a driver who struck a Derry man while he was mowing his lawn and then drove away.
John Pothier suffered serious leg and arm injuries when he was hit Sunday night. His wife, Paula Beverage, told WMUR-TV he also is fighting kidney failure but had been feeling upbeat about getting on a transplant list. She said he decided to mow the lawn because he was feeling a bit energetic that day.
Police say the car’s passenger side mirror was left behind, and they believe it may have come from a Ford vehicle.
