Older people and their families will have free access to more than 40 sources of senior information Thursday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport, during the annual Successful Aging Expo. 

The Expo, hosted by Maine Senior Guide, will feature exhibitors including senior living communities, home care and home health options, downsizing, travel planning and insurance resources. Attendees can choose from nine speakers as part of the Successful Aging Forum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Old Town Hall adjacent to the expo hall.  

Keynote speaker Kristen Onos from Jackson Laboratory will close the expo at 2:15 p.m. with a talk Alzheimer’s research. Her free talk includes light refreshments. 

There will be free flu shots by CHANS, antique appraisals by Daniel Buck, Zumba Gold demos and a seated dance workshop with Nancy Salmon. 

Attendees can place their name in the drawing for two door prizes. 

The expo is sponsored in part by Salvation Army, MidCoast-Parkview Health, and Maine Senior Guide. Media sponsors include Maine Seniors magazine. Expo admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. There is no registration required.
