Roger Hall

JEFFERSON – Roger Hall, 77, passed away on Jan. 25, 2021 at Maine General Medical Center after months of declining health. Roger was born in New London, Conn. to Herbert and Grace Hall and was raised in North Whitefield, Maine. Roger attended Cony High School graduating in 1962 where he played basketball and tennis.Shortly after high school Roger joined the Air Force and served for four years, earning the Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals and was stationed in Thailand during a portion of the Vietnam War. After discharge Roger met and married Theresa Smith in 1971. They moved to Portland where they raised two sons, Shawn and Adam. Roger worked as a salesman for Nabisco for 27 years and later Acosta foods. Roger’s major passions in life was sports. He loved all New England sports teams. Roger was an avid golfer and was a long time member of Riverside Golf Course. He was extremely friendly, outgoing and known to talk to anyone that would listen. Roger was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Grace; and his sister Barbara Inglis. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Carrie Hall of Brunswick, son and daughter- in-law Adam Hall and Holly Reichard of San Diego, Calif.; his ex-wife Theresa Hall of Portland; his brother Bill Hall of Jefferson; three grandchildren Aidan, Riley, and Bradley; and nephews Ryan and Zachary. Local arrangements are being made by Plummers Funeral home. Roger will be buried at Vetran’s Cemetery in Augusta at a later date when it is safe to gather and share memories.
