Again, your headline writer hits it out of the park, three times in one edition. I refer to Feb. 12. The front page, over the centerpiece photo: “A Moment Frozen in Rime” played on the words of an old saying, and introduced many readers to the concept of frosty rime.

Then, on the front of the Local & State section, we are treated to: “Take Me to Your Leader,” a delightful take on kids with neon green flying saucer sleds.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, the next page offers up: “Jimi Hendrix Would Be Proud” over a beautiful photo of a purple haze on Prout’s Neck. We flower children got that one, though your younger readers may have been scratching their heads.

Thank you for giving us some pleasure during a dark time in our nation’s history. Thank you for this punny headline writer, who so often gives us a good laugh!
