Saco police identified Barbara Ellis, 64, of Saco, as the woman whose body was found Wednesday morning on the beach at Kinney Shores in Saco.
Saco Police Deputy Chief Corey Huntress said people walking their dog saw Ellis’ body rolling in the surf. Police confirmed the body to be that of a woman, who was deceased, around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Saco police and Maine Marine Patrol officials were investigating the death.
The Maine Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy. The death is not considered suspicious, according to police.
