Meals To Go Program 3 Pre-Cooked Frozen Meals for $10

Scarborough Community Services and Southern Maine Agency are working together to offer a Meals to Go Program. If you are 60 or older, you can get three pre-cooked freezer meals to enjoy when you need them for a suggested donation of only $10. If you are under 60, and would like the meals, the cost for the three meals is $15.

Drive-thru pick up for meals will be at 418 Payne Road, Scarborough, from 11 a.m. to noon on April 20, May 4, May 18, June 1, June 15, July 6, and July 20. Registration is required. You can register for one or more days by calling 207-730-4173. Please leave a message, and someone will get back to you. If you are not registered with SMAA, you will need you to fill out a form over the phone.

If you know anyone over 60 who could benefit from this program, spread the word.

Deadline to sign up is 4 p.m. for April 20 meals is April 12; for May 4 meals is April 2; for May 18 meals is May 10; for June 1 meals is May 24; for June 15 meals is June 7; for July 6 meals is June 28; and for July 20 meals is July 12.

Highland Lake Grange will be having a roasted turkey drive-up, take-out only, dinner on Saturday April 10 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. There will be roasted turkey, green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread, cranberry sauce, and cake. The cost is $10 per person. Have exact price for the meal(s) you want. You will drive up, pay and receive your meal. No substitutions. The grange is located near the corner of Route 302 and Hardy Road in Westbrook.
