Portland Water District’s annual water main maintenance, which began last month, continues in parts of Westbrook, South Portland and Portland.

Maintenance flushing takes place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Customers may notice short periods of water discoloration, but according to Portland Water District, “this program is essential to maintain water quality and public health.”
