Re: the Jan. 30 Telegram story on legalizing psychedelic mushrooms as medicine (Page A1):

If there is an excuse or rationalization for doing something, well, then, where there’s a will there’s a way.

Determine the root cause of a person’s depression and pull it out for healing. However, depression has a variety of causes. One person’s depression is not another person’s same depression. Eliminating the root cause of various depressions sounds like a lifetime financially prosperous occupation.

At the proposal of psychedelic mushrooms for medicine, it is maybe likely that Timothy Leary, of “Turn on, tune in, drop out” and 1967’s “Summer of Love,” is smiling – even though he, himself, has dropped out from being an eternal “Turn on, tune out, drop out” and, for better or worse, has been hit on his psychedelic mushroom head with the reality of Jesus Christ, with whom some persons are persona non grata.
