I am writing this letter to the editor to let the people of Maine know about my candidacy. The Democratic party machine does not want a primary so it has worked to prevent me from getting publicity and from collecting the needed 2,000 signatures.

The Democratic party machine is anything but democratic. I am running for governor to shift the paradigm away from a government of, by, and for the money to a government of, by, and for the people. What a radical idea!

Maine needs a governor who will put people before politics and big business. Maine needs a governor who supports workers, the environment, indigenous people, those with mental illness, children in need-the list goes on and on. Unless Maine’s rigged system is reformed, we will never solve the myriad of problems, most of which government created or exacerbated.

The current governor’s approach is to put band-aids on a cancer. Maine government needs drastic reform of a system which is intended to benefit government and the special interests-certainly not us.

Our people’s campaign is desperately in need of the signatures needed to force a primary to insure the best Democratic candidate is on the ballot in November. If you’d like to help or if you want information, please email me at johnglowaforgovernor2022@gmail.com. Thank you.
