How can the admirable and needed concern about addressing climate change in the future be more important than the lives of people in Ukraine today? We should invest in expanded domestic oil production right now and figure out how to reduce that demand over time, while purchasing no oil from Russia.

How can our sanctions against Russia be “crippling” (as reported) when we know that the proceeds from our Russian oil purchases are being used to fund Russia’s war? Yes, U.S. citizens will have to pay a “fee” for this at the pump for now. That is a price we must all pay for world peace and normalcy.

We could offset some of the upward price pressure by releasing our oil reserves, while domestic production is increased to refill the reserves. For what greater emergency are we holding on to these reserves?
