Portland singer-songwriter Connor Garvey will release his eighth album, “Another End of a Year,” on July 21.

The album’s first single, “All These Things,” dropped in April, and “Water to the Well” came out  a few weeks ago.

Featuring Sorcha Cribben-Merrill on backing vocals and several ace local musicians – including Pete Morse on electric guitar, Ben Cosgrove on keys and Colin Winsor on bass – the slow to mid-tempo tune is a bittersweet take on love. Garvey’s voice is warm and clear.

Garvey will be taking the show on the road next month when he appears at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in Lyons, Colorado.
