Do my fellow Mainers feel the crushing weight of living in a country that has given more rights to guns than women this past year?

Have they watched in bewilderment as yet another multi-million dollar condo is built next door to them while they are struggling to find a one-bedroom apartment that doesn’t cost half their monthly income?

Do they seem, inexplicably, to worry more about climate change than do our elected officials, who have the power to do something about it?

If so, it’s time to make our voices heard and vote. That means local, state and federal elections, primaries and midterms. We need transformative, progressive solutions to the seemingly never ending crises that face young people in this state and country. We’ll only get those solutions if we vote for candidates who will deliver on those solutions. So, if we want our country to work for us, we’ve got to vote.
