As I sit here trying to process the shock and grief of the latest mass shooting, I believe we, as a culture, need to rethink our perceived entitlements and the freedoms we have as Americans.

There is the old saying that “too much of a good thing is bad.” Freedom comes at a cost. The greater the freedom, the higher the cost.

When will we realize that the freedom to own an assault weapon has far too high a price?
