Roots and soul singer-songwriter Kerri Powers brought the house down a couple of years ago opening for Livingston Taylor, and this time around, she’s the headliner at One Longfellow Square. Powers has a twangy, folky, bluesy sound, and she got her start playing coffeehouse stages around New England. She’s currently working on a new album. Come to the show for the performance, and you may walk away with some goodies, as Powers will be giving away a painting as well as some CDs.

Khruangbin

Texas-based rock trio Khruangbin brings its Space Walk Tour through Portland with an opening set from Canadian indie band Men I Trust.
Khruangbin’s 2020 album “Mordechai” is home to “Time (You and I)” and “So We Won’t Forget.” The band is known for its hybrid blend of Thai funk, psychedelic, rock, dub and soul, among other genres. Laura Lee Ochoa is on bass and vocals, Mark Speer is on guitars and vocals, and Donald “DJ” Johnson plays drums and keys and also sings. Expect an eclectic, enthralling night of tunes that will induce both dances and trances.

Hey Springsteen fans, need a solid fix of Boss tunes? Just head to Freeport for a night of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band music from tribute act The Last of the Duke Street Kings. From the hits to the deep album cuts, they play them all and are led by lead vocalist, guitarist and harmonica player Andy Blincoe. Depot Street becomes Thunder Road for one night only, so whether you’ve got a hungry heart or were born to run, glory days await you on Saturday night. The show will also be livestreamed on the Cadenza Facebook page.
