BIDDEFORD — Southern Maine Health Care has expanded mammogram screening services to reach all women in York County, whether or not they are current patients, hospital officials have announced.

Director of Communications and Public Affairs Alison Kenty said women living in Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Arundel, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Sanford, Springvale, Lebanon, Shapleigh, Newfield, North Waterboro, East Waterboro, Waterboro, or Alfred, can now self-schedule their mammograms at SMHC without having a Primary Care Physician’s referral.

“If you, or someone you know are living in SMHC’s service area, and are looking to schedule a screening mammogram, simply call: 207-283-7171,” said Kenty in a news release.
