Here’s a chance to see two terrific singer-songwriters in one night. Abbie Gardner from the folk trio Red Molly plays a mean dobro, and her new album, “Dobrosinger,” has 11 tracks of dobro and vocals exclusively. Marc Douglas Berardo’s latest single is called “The Hard Part,” and it’s easy on the ears, bursting with hopeful lyrics as a piano dances across guitar and percussion.

Novel Jazz

Jazz fans should make their way to the Midcoast for a performance by Novel Jazz, which will be slinging swinging hot jazz straight out of the Great American Songbook. Kick back and take in the tunes expertly played by Barney Balch on trombone, David Harris on alto sax, Michael Mitchell on trumpet, Herb Maine on acoustic bass, Mickey Felder on piano and Bill Manning on drums. The show is the band’s first at Skidompha Library since November 2019, and they can’t wait to hit the stage.

Ethan Setiawan

Ethan Setiawan hails from Goshen, Indiana, and these days calls Cornish home. He tried his hand at several instruments before striking gold with the mandolin. With influences ranging from traditional bluegrass to jazz, Setiawan continues to build on his discography. “Flux” was released in 2018, and his next album is due out next year, featuring fiddler Darol Anger and banjo player Tony Trischka.
