In-A-Pinch Board of Directors held a giveaway on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at its 264 Pool St., location in Biddeford and one earlier in the month at the AMVETS Post on Alfred Street, providing children with a backpack full of supplies — crayons, markers, notebook, composition books, pencils, rulers, pens, sharpener, binders, dividers, scissors, folder, glue, and glue sticks and more.

In all, the organization supplied 36 backpacks to benefit students, handing them out at those locations or delivering them to local schools.

And the organization is putting out the word to Biddeford students in PreK-through grade four, who may still be in need of supplies and a backpack, that they are still available. In-A-Pinch will be open 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 264 Pool St. People are invited to bring their child to select the color and backpack style, along with proof of residency.
