On Nov. 8, we Mainers will decide who we elect as our next governor.

Since 2018, Janet Mills has compassionately and capably led Maine through challenges to our economy, education system, health care system and infrastructure. Challenges include climate change, inflation and the ravages of COVID-19. Maine is recovering on all fronts, and the Mills administration is a big part of that. Challenges persist.

Paul LePage, previous governor and advocate of such positions as outlawing abortion in Maine, climate change denial, pushing for offshore drilling and false denial of 2020 presidential election results, is now challenging Gov. Mills.

In debates, LePage claims to “moderate” many of these positions. What? Don’t trust it, folks? He is still extreme and untruthful, and still dependent on his narrow base for agency.

For Maine, vote Mills!
