The teachers and educators of the RSU23 Education Association would like to introduce the voters of Old Orchard Beach to Barbara Roberge, the best candidate for the RSU23 School Board. Our Education Association believes in Barbara because she has the experiences, qualities, and values our district needs.
Barbara has 23 years of dedicated classroom experience in OOB and has a reputation for caring for the progress and success of every student she has taught. There is no one else who cares more for the students, families, businesses, schools, and community of Old Orchard Beach than Barbara Roberge. When dedication and experience matter, Barbara shines through. At a time when values matter, Barbara Roberge is solid and dependable.
Mrs. Roberge retired after teaching here in OOB for 23 years. Barbara didn’t just “Teach at the Beach,” she served on committees, attended school board meetings, and taught for a combined 43 years. Barbara’s entire family loves Old Orchard Beach and are proud to call OOB their home. Her husband is a lifelong resident of OOB and a retired teacher. Barb’s children attended OOB schools, went on to college, then married, and now reside in Old Orchard Beach.
The residents of Old Orchard Beach know the importance of education and the importance of good schools. The RSU23 School Board needs visionary leadership, effective communication, and dedication from board members like Mrs. Roberge to carry on the proud traditions and future of our school system. Our families understand the central role our schools play in the community and Barbara will ensure our educational system is sound.
Barbara not only works hard, but she also enjoys Old Orchard by walking the beach, kayaking, reading, and socializing with family and friends. Our teachers know Mrs. Roberge will work tirelessly to:
• Increase the quality of RSU23 schools.
• Establish the goals needed to achieve educational excellence.
• Ensure all stakeholders have input on RSU23 educational decisions.
• Establish a positive safe school environment so all students learn and are prepared for society.
• Effectively hire talented and innovative school leaders and staff.
• Articulate a vision for the educational community.
• Manage and oversee school budgets with fiscal responsibility.
