Paul LePage finally said something I agree with. He said if heating oil was not more important than abortion then, “I should never have gotten into politics.” What he’s really saying is that if what the people want isn’t what he wants, he should never have gotten into politics. I agree; he should never have gotten into politics.

The election was much more complicated than his focus on those two issues would suggest but, like so many in politics, LePage failed to listen, put out lots of wrong information and just wanted to be insulting and loud. I hope his “next time” comment never comes to pass. Maine does not want or need him.

Perhaps he can go back to Florida and see if he can get a job with the governor there. LePage is out of step with the kind, thoughtful, caring, polite and reasonable people of Maine.
