Quinn McDaniel was 5 for 5 with two home runs and seven RBI as the University of Maine baseball team beat St. Joseph’s University 17-12 on Saturday in Philadelphia.

McDaniel hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning to give Maine a 13-10 lead. He also had RBI singles in the fourth and sixth innings anda two-run homer in the ninth inning.

Maine (8-11) trailed 7-0 after two innings by tied the game at 10-10 when Jeremiah Jenkins hit a grand slam in the sixth. Jenkins went 3 for 6 with two home runs and six RBI.

Ryan Cesarini had two hits and two RBI for St. Joseph’s.

COLBY 6, AUGUSTANA 1: The Mules (8-3) scored five runs in the fourth inning and beat the Vikings (13-2) in Auburndale, Florida.

Patrick McConnell had two hits scored twice and drove in a run for Colby. Matthew Panker added two hits, an RBI and a run scored, while Clint Flippo, Cole Palmeri and Ryan Grace each had a double.

SOFTBALL

HUSSON SWEEPS UNE: McKenna Smith pitched a complete game, allowing three hits and one run, while striking out 16 as the Eagles (8-10) won the first game of a doubleheader sweep, 3-1, over the Nor’easters (2-10) in Biddeford.

Tatynna Biamby had three RBI as Husson won the second game, 11-2.

ELMHURST 11, BATES 8: Sarah Cooke had a two-run double in the fourth inning as the Bobcats (6-3) scored seven times, but it wasn’t enough in a loss to the Blue Jays (6-4) in Clermont, Florida.

Ella Maher added a two-run single for Bates.

Chiara O’Leary had two doubles and drove in two for Elmhurst.

BUFFALO STATE 13, BATES 3: Grace Householter had a triple for the Bobcats (6-4) in their loss to the Bengals (7-5) in Clermont, Florida.

Oriana Castello scored four runs for Buffalo State.

Kennedy Jones had two hits and an RBI for Bates.

COLBY 7, ELMHURST 3: Amanda Cabral hit a two-run double to give the Mules (9-5) the lead in the fourth inning of their win over the Blue Jays (3-3) in Clermont, Florida.

Carissa Cassidy had two RBI for Colby, while Chloe Wilcox had an RBI triple. Sam Alholm allowed one hit in four innings of relief to earn the win.

ST. JOSEPH’S 13, EMMANUEL 8: Lydia Dexter had five goals and two assists as the Monks (6-2, 4-0 GNAC) beat the Saints (6-1, 3-1) in Boston.

Mackenzie Siebert added three goals and an assist, while Bridget Collins and Carson Battaglia each had two goals for St. Joseph’s.

UNE 17, KEENE STATE 14: Morgan White finished with six goals and an assist to lead the Nor’easters (6-2) over the Owls (1-6) in Biddeford.

Abby McHallam added three goals, whle Kelsey Hartigan tallied two goals and two assists for UNE. Maria Turriza made 10 saves.

Haile Ratajack scored seven goals for Keene State.

MIDDLEBURY 13, BATES 2: Jane Earley had four goals and an assist as the Panthers (8-0, 4-0 NESCAC) cruised to a win over the Polar Bears (4-5, 0-4) in Middlebury, Vermont.

WESLEYAN 14, BOWDOIN 5: Katie Balicki had four goals and one assist as the Cardinals (6-1, 2-1 NESCAC) beat the Polar Bears (3-4, 1-3) in Middletown, Connecticut.

Fiona Bundy and Sophia Schaefer both scored twice for Bowdoin.

COLBY 11, HAMILTON 6: Ally Franz had three goals and an assist, while Annie Eddy added three goals and the Mules (3-3, 1-2 NESCAC) beat the Continentals (4-3, 1-2) in Waterville.

Paige Saudek and Elizabeth Hennessey each added two goals for Colby.

UNE 22, EASTERN NAZARENE 4: Joe O’Keefe had three goals and two assists, while Collin Jackson had had three goals and the Nor’easters (6-3) beat the Lions (0-5) in North Quincy, Massachusetts.

Andrew Lawrence added two goals and three assists for UNE.

EMMANUEL 17, ST. JOSEPH’S 14: Ryan Castle had four goals and two assists and the Saints (5-3) beat the Monks (3-6) in Boston.

Tim Goodfellow had four goals and four assists, while Matt Denman added three goals and an assists for St. Joseph’s.

BOWDOIN 14, WESLEYAN 8: Patrick Fitzgerald had five goals and an assist to lift the Polar Bears (5-2, 2-2 NESCAC) past the Cardinals (5-2, 2-1) in Brunswick.

Jason Lech added four goals, while Will Byrne had two goals and an assist for Bowdoin.

Torben Wunderle and Thomas Healy each had five goals and an assist for Hamilton.

MIDDLEBURY 14, BATES 4: Russell Thorndike had five goals and an assist as the Panthers (6-0, 4-0 NESCAC) beat the Bobcats (0-6, 0-4) in Lewiston.

Connor Hartman had two goals, while Malcolm Klingbeil and Jacob Kodjababian each had one for Bates.
