Scarborough seniors Molly Henderson, left, and Amber Woods are all smiles after signing their celebratory Letters of Intent Wednesday at a ceremony at the high school with teammates, friends and family members.

Henderson will play lacrosse at the University of New England in Biddeford.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play college lacrosse and have a signing day, so it’s awesome to have all my friends and family here,” said Henderson, who is undecided on a major. “I was looking at a lot of schools, but you can’t beat the location of UNE. Everyone was so welcoming and I can see myself thriving in that environment.”

Woods plans to play tennis at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.

“It means a lot to me,” said Woods, who will study interior architecture. “I chose Endicott because of its academic feel and the team felt like family. It’s a winning team. I feel like it’s like a place where I can be my best self.”
