Houlton Humane Society is bursting at the seams with dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. The shelter is completely overwhelmed.
Next time you adopt a cat or a dog, consider adopting from one of the rural Maine shelters that are often overwhelmed. The adoption fee will help support the shelter and you’d give a Maine pet a home.
Houlton is an easy drive straight up I-95. Make it a fun road trip. A few hours of easy driving is not a big sacrifice for a lifelong companion. Of course, monetary donations are always welcome to support spaying and neutering as well as the medical care of all these animals. Maine’s animals need our support.
