I am writing to express support for Paul Whitmarsh running for the North Yarmouth Select Board. He is an accomplished individual having served in the Navy Reserve as a commander. He has the discipline, intelligence and work ethic that can have a positive impact. He talks specifics when it comes to town issues. His views are fact-based. He understands process and logistics and what it takes to get a job done. He believes political power belongs to the residents to elect candidates that will represent their best interests. He defends committee meeting public comment, not as a timed inconvenience, but a constructive exchange of ideas. He is not part of the current Select Board alliance that has been formed and looking to expand. He is an independent voice which is much-needed to provide balance and perspective. I hope you join me in voting for Paul, either by absentee ballot or in person on June 13.
