What an outstanding series: “Long Way Home” (May 22-27). I’ve been riveted by the good writing, pictures and stories about our new Mainers. It’s not just heartwarming news in these difficult news days; it’s a call to action.
With the influx of so many new asylum seekers and our native homeless issues, it highlights how we all need to focus on those needing, seeking a better life. There are endless ways to get involved, beyond the few dollars that some of us can give to social organizations and local government. I’m inspired to do more.
Thank you, Portland Press Herald, for keeping print journalism alive and well in our community of Maine. I suspect prizes will be in order for this series.
