Lucy Taylor had two goals and an assist, including the 100th point of her career, to pace a balanced attack as No. 2 Falmouth (14-1) rolled to a 16-2 win over No. 15 Massabesic (3-12) in a Class A preliminary round girls’ lacrosse game Wednesday afternoon.

Falmouth will host No. 7 Biddeford in the quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Saturday

The Navigators, who have won 14 games in a row, got four goals and three assists from Peaches Stucker, three goals from Maeve Ginevan, and two apiece from Maisy Clement and Sloane Ginevan.

Lydia Desrochers and Marleigh Roy scored for Massabesic.

BIDDEFORD 18, OXFORD HILLS/ST. DOMINIC 5: Abby Bouffard tallied seven goals and two assists to lead the seventh-seeded Tigers (11-4) over the 10th-seeded Vikings (9-6) in a Class A prelim in Biddeford.

Cece Keller added four goals and two assists, Kylie Parent tallied three goals and an assist, and Nataliah Martinez made 10 saves for Biddeford.

Gracie Hart led Oxford Hills with two goals. Mal Kennison, Ally Slicer and Bayleigh Young also scored.

WAYNFLETE 16, TRAIP ACADEMY 7: Tilsley Kelly and Lydia Birknes each tallied five goals as the seventh-seeded Flyers (8-7) beat the 10th-seeded Rangers (5-9) in a Class C prelim in Portland.

Skylar Harris chipped in with four goals, while Morgan Earls added a goal and five assists. Waynflete goalie Pippa Huffard made eight saves.

Keira Alessi led Traip with three goals. Elivia Mandani scored twice and Charlotte Masse stopped nine shots.

BASEBALL

CONY 9, HERMON 0: Kam Douin and Landon Foster combined on a no-hitter as the second-seeded Rams (16-1) beat the No. 7 Hawks (8-10) in a Class B North quarterfinal in Augusta.

Douin struck out 11 and walked five over six innings, and Foster struck out the side in the seventh.

Cony broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the fourth inning, capped by Douin’s RBI double. Jordan Benedict drove in the first two runs.

BANGOR 8, OXFORD HILLS 1: Matt Holmes struck out 12 and allowed only three hits as the seventh-seeded Rams (9-8) knocked off the No. 2 Vikings (12-5) in a Class A North quarterfinal in Paris.

Holmes also drove home the game’s first run with a bases-loaded single in the fifth. A passed ball and two-run single by Wyatt Stevens stretched Bangor’s lead to 4-0. The two-time defending regional champions then added two more runs on a bases-loaded walk to Teddy Stephenson and a single by Ethan Sproul.

LAWRENCE 3, OCEANSIDE 2: Hunter Lee hit a walk-off single as the fourth-seeded Bulldogs came from a run down in the seventh inning to beat the No. 5 Mariners in a Class B North quarterfinal at Fairfield.

Ben Ryder pitched a complete game for Lawrence (13-4), allowing six hits. Garret Murphy had three hits for the Bulldogs.

Jason Bartlett hit a triple and a single for Oceanside (11-6).

EDWARD LITTLE 4, BREWER 3: The eighth-seeded Red Eddies (10-7) scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to upset the top-seeded Witches (14-3) in a Class A quarterfinal at UMaine’s Mahaney Diamond.

Campbell Cassidy scored the go-ahead run on an error and retired the Witches in the bottom of the seventh as Edward Little advanced to face No. 4 Messalonskee in the semifinals on Saturday.

The Red Eddies tied the game at 3-3 in the seventh when Eli St. Laurent drove in Caleb Albert on a squeeze play.

Cassidy and Drew Smith each had two hits for Edward Little, which also plated a pair of runs in the fifth after falling behind 3-0.

Smith pitched the first 4 1/3 innings for the Eddies. Cassidy relieved Smith and struck our four batters while holding the Witches scoreless over the final 2 2/3 innings.

The Witches took the lead in the third on a two-run single by Rowan Valley and added another run in the fourth.

Grady Vanidestine pitched a complete game for the Witches. He struck out three and allowed eight hits.
