Regarding the recent op-ed about tanks in South Portland (“Commentary: Imagine South Portland without the tank farms,” June 14) I wonder for how long the author has driven a vehicle with an internal combustion engine and not thought once about the fuel required, which needs to be transported and stored. I wonder if the tanks the author objects strenuously to were there before he moved into the neighborhood.
