Delia Fravert and Emmie Flaker scored first-half goals to start Scarborough on its way to a 3-0 win over Cheverus in a Class A South girls’ soccer match Wednesday in Scarborough.

The Red Storm (4-1), who had their 21-game winning streak snapped Monday, went on top in the 11th minute when Fravert beat Stags goalkeeper Evelyn Rush (12 saves). Flaker doubled the lead in the 25th minute.

Lana Djuranovic added to the lead on a free kick with 31 minutes remaining.

Sophia Rinaldi made four saves for Scarborough.

Cheverus is now 3-2-1.

GORHAM 2, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Julia Reed and Piper Forgues scored two minutes apart early in the second half, lifting the Rams (6-0) over the Red Riots (2-1-1) in Gorham.

Reed broke the scoreless deadlock four minutes into the second half, assisted by Forgues. Ashley Connolly assisted on Forgues’ goal.

Sawyer VondarHarr made eight saves for the shutout. South Portland keeper Amelia Burton-Fowler stopped 12 shots.

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, MASSABESIC 0: Bri Arsenault opened the scoring in the sixth minute, and Quincy Thibault tallied the final three goals as the Golden Trojans (4-1) defeated the Mustangs (0-4-1) in Waterboro.

Charlotte Belanger set up Arsenault’s goal on a corner kick, then sent a through ball to Thibault for a goal that made it 3-0 less than two minutes into the second half.

Thibault’s first goal came just before halftime. She completed her hat trick with a penalty kick.

Ava Lomax made five saves for the shutout.

WINDHAM 2, BONNY EAGLE 0: First-half goals by Kyla Harvie and Neve Ledbetter were enough for the Eagles (3-2) in a win over the Scots (2-3) at Windham.

Harvie converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute. Ledbetter made it 2-0 late in the first half with a shot that deflected off a Bonny Eagle player.

Windham keeper Ale Hidell made four saves. Brynn Tilburg made 21 saves for Bonny Eagle.

SANFORD 2, DEERING 0: Hailey Tarbox scored the go-ahead goal 10 minutes into the second half, then sent a through ball to Julissa McBarron for an insurance goal as the Spartans (4-0) beat the Rams (1-3-1).

Sanford keeper Sophie Olivo made three saves, while Deering’s Sophie Hill stopped four shots.

DIRIGO 3, WISCASSET 1: The Cougars (1-4) earned their first win of the season with a strong second half against the Wolverines (1-3) in Dixfield.

Tessah LeClerc opened the scoring in the first half for Dirigo, butWiscasset tied it before halftime.

Sophia Nino scored the winning goal early in the second half. Cami Wright provided an insurance goal less than four minutes later.

FIELD HOCKEY

MASSABESIC 4, PORTLAND/DEERING 1: Sydney Duncan scored two goals and set up another as the Mustangs (3-1) defeated Portland/Deering in Portland.

The Mustangs led 2-0 after one quarter, thanks to unassisted goals by Duncan and Paige Stephenson.

Portland/Deering cut into the deficit in the second quarter when Gabbie Harrigan tipped in Ainsley Dunn’s centering pass. But Eliza Rogers restored the two-goal lead later in the second quarter, and Duncan got her second goal in the third.

Portland/Deering goalie Emma Walsh finished with 27 saves.

YARMOUTH 4, POLAND 0: Sophie Smith netted a pair of goals in the second quarter, starting the Clippers (6-0) on their way to a win over the Knights (1-5) in Poland.

Madison Wiles and Erica O’Connor each added a fourth-quarter goal, and Celia Zinman had two assists.

KENNEBUNK 2, SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 0: The Rams (2-3) got goals from Avery LaBua and Kaity Darrah to beat South Portland/Westbrook (1-4) in Kennebunk.

Madison Stevens earned the shutout, stopping nine shots.
