I am outraged that through the actions of a single U.S. senator, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, our military readiness and strength are being undermined.
This radical politician has arbitrarily blocked personnel advancements for reasons that could be addressed by arbitration and compromise. Tuberville is singularly weakening our military leadership and readiness. He is responsible for current and pending vacancies in the Joint Chiefs of Staff and in the officer ranks throughout all our military services.
As a veteran (Commissioned Corps of the United States Public Health Service, 1974-’76), I am troubled and outraged by Tuberville’s strong-arm tactics and arbitrary behavior, ignoring the strategic needs of America.
I suggest we all express similar outrage on Nov. 11, Veterans Day. Let us help defend our fellow veterans from the arbitrary undermining of our military strength and readiness by this craven politician.
