Ayla Lagasse scored off a penalty corner in the first quarter and Corinne Ramunno converted another corner in the second quarter, leading Biddeford to a 2-0 win over Scarborough in a Class A field hockey game Wednesday at Scarborough.

The Tigers (6-2) took the lead when Lagasse finished a pass from Kayla Magnant.

On the second goal, Ramunno tipped in a shot by Lagasse.

The Red Storm (4-4) had seven penalty corners in the second half, but couldn’t score.

Scarborough goalie Jamila Mohamed made 11 saves, while Cadence Goulet stopped three shots for Biddeford.

PORTLAND/DEERING 1, KENNEBUNK 0: Gabbie Harrigan’s third-quarter goal was enough for Portland/Deering (2-5) in a win over the Rams (2-5) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Leah Sigfridson and Caitlin Rohde assisted on the goal, and Emma Walsh made six saves for the shutout.

Kennebunk goalie Maddie Stevens had five saves.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 1: Maggie Tripp, Autumn Wiles and Coralyn Bolduc scored as the Trojans (2-6) beat South Portland/Westbrook (1-6) in South Portland.

NOBLE 1, BONNY EAGLE 0: Ashley Merchant found the back of the cage 30 seconds into the second overtime to give the Knights (3-3) the edge over the Scots (2-6) in North Berwick.

WELLS 2, WAYNFLETE 0: Emily Finch scored off an assist from Lia Lord-Rozeff in the second quarter, and Samantha Price converted a penalty stroke in the fourth as the Warriors (3-5) blanked the Flyers (1-4) in Portland.

Mya Clark made three saves for Waynflete.

MARSHWOOD 2, FALMOUTH 1: Eva Hersey tied the game late on a rebound with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, then set up the winner by Erika Parker on a corner in overtime, lifting the Hawks (4-4) over the Navigators (5-2) in South Berwick.

Hersey knocked in the rebound of a shot by Sienna Sapountsis for the tying goal.

BOOTHBAY 2, LISBON 1: Kari Blake and Ella Watts scored to lead the Seahawks (2-6) past the Greyhounds (1-5-1) in Lisbon.

Riley Hoyle scored for Lisbon, assisted by Melanie Simmons.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

GORHAM 4, SANFORD 2: Ashley Connolly netted a hat trick, helping the Rams (8-0) beat the Spartans (4-2) in Gorham.

Gorham, the No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine poll, also got a goal from Julia Reed.

Julissa McBarron and Annalise Stimmell scored for Sanford. Sanford keeper Sophie Olivo made seven saves.

WINDHAM 2, DEERING 0: Emily Talbot scored in the first half, Kyla Harvie added a second-half goal, and the Eagles (5-2) downed the Rams (2-4-1) in Portland.

Ale Hidell made one save in the shutout. Sophie Hill turned aside eight shots for Deering.

CHEVERUS 4, KENNEBUNK 0: Finley Brown, Chloe Durkin, Sofia Pothier and Annie Vigue scored a goal apiece as the Stags (5-2-1) defeated the Rams (1-5-1) in Kennebunk.

Rachel LaSalle recorded two assists. Evelyn Rush made four saves for the shutout.

Kennebunk’s Kate Orendorf stopped 11 shots.

SCARBOROUGH 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Lana Djuranovic scored twice and Sarah LeFebvre added a goal as the Red Storm (6-1) handled the Red Riots (3-2-1) in Scarborough.

Red Storm keeper Sophia Rinaldi finished with five saves.

South Portland took an early lead on an own goal. Amelia Burton-Fowler made 12 saves for the Red Riots.

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, BONNY EAGLE 1: Charlotte Belanger finished with four goals and Quincy Thibault scored twice to lead the Trojans (5-2) over the Scots (3-5) in Saco.

Kayleigh Corriveau got the other Thornton goal. Olivia Frederickson made five saves for the Trojans.

Gia Jalbert scored Bonny Eagle’s goal, while Brynn Tillburg recorded nine saves.

MARSHWOOD 3, WESTBROOK 0: Sarah Theriault opened the scoring with an assist from Tia Anderson, Rowan Waddell made it 2-0 with an assist from Maddy Poitras, and Lucy Parker scored off a corner kick as the Hawks (3-2) beat the Blue Blazes (0-5-2) in Westbrook.

Lana Emery made 10 saves for the shutout.

ST. DOMINIC 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Gabby Allen and Avery Gravel scored in the first half and Brooklyn Whited added a goal in the second half, powering the Saints (5-3-1) past the Seagulls (3-6) in Old Orchard Beach.

Anna Theriault made five saves for St. Dom’s.

Kailee Morin was assisted by Abby Roy for the lone Old Orchard Beach goal. Seagulls keeper Sarah Davis stopped nine shots.
