Anneliese Collin scored a hat trick as Portland earned a 4-4 tie against Gorham in a Class A South girls’ soccer match Thursday night at Fitzpatrick Stadium.
Phoebe Knoll also scored for the Bulldogs (3-6-1).
Gorham (9-1-1), ranked No. 3 in the Varsity Maine top 10, got two goals from Ashley Connolly and one each from Kaitlyn Nichols and Julia Reed.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2, MORSE 1: Freshman Natasha Godfrey broke a tie to give the Panthers (7-1-3) a win over the Shipbuilders (4-7) in Yarmouth.
Caroline Matusovich, another freshman, got the first goal for NYA.
Edie McKay scored for Morse, assisted by Shea Brochu.
WAYNFLETE 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Morgan Earls, Lucy Hart and Lydia Birknes scored two goals apiece as the Flyers (7-4) downed the Raiders (3-8) at Fryeburg.
Emily Chaine scored for Fryeburg.
Waynflete keeper Ayla Stutzman turned aside three shots. Fryeburg’s Maya Mayan made eight saves.
FREEPORT 3, YORK 1: Kenzie Cochran, Silvi Strong and Sadi Grogan scored and Amanda Panciocco made six saves as the Falcons (7-2-3) defeated the Wildcats (3-5-2) in Freeport.
Grace Clayton scored for York. Ella Hickey finished with eight saves.
CAPE ELIZABETH 2, GREELY 1: Noelle Mallory and Hailey Gorman scored after an early goal by Greely’s Avery Bush, lifting the Capers (10-1) over the Rangers (4-4-2) in Cape Elizabeth.
Maisie Rayback and Heather Campbell each had an assist for Cape.
FALMOUTH 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Second-quarter goals by Allie Sweetser and Jaelyn Meader started the Navigators (7-2) on their way to a win over the Scots (2-8-1) in Falmouth.
Elizabeth Brown also scored, and Valerie Rand had two assists.
MT. ARARAT 4, LEWISTON 0: Islah Godo put in three goals, including a penalty kick, to lead the Eagles (6-3-1) past the Blue Devils (0-9-2) in Lewiston.
Emma Berry rounded out the scoring. Jaelyn Jensen assisted on Godo’s first goal.
BOYS’ SOCCER
PORTLAND 6, BONNY EAGLE 2: Martin Kalala-Wasukundi collected two goals and two assists as the Bulldogs (9-1-1) defeated the Scots (7-4-1) in Standish.
Brandon Chacon and Max Kierstead each added a goal and an assist. Baptista Muanda and Isaac Rodrigues-Nkanza were the other goal scorers, and Luis Ordonez-Franco had two assists.
Adam Harmon and Ethan Triance scored for Bonny Eagle.
SOUTH PORTLAND 7, NOBLE 1: Tim Caouette poured in four goals – three in the second half – to pace the Red Riots (6-2-3) in a win over the Knights (0-10-1) at South Portland.
Gedeao Buanza, CJ Merenghi and Beckett Mehlhorn each added a goal.
Ben van den Huvel was the goal scorer for Noble.
WESTBROOK 3, SANFORD 1: Marcelin Kobenan, Mustafa Salman and Jonilson Gomes scored as the Blue Blazes (5-5-1) defeated the Spartans (1-6-1) at Westbrook.
Westbrook keeper Jason McCarthy made six saves.
Antowayne Chisholm scored for Sanford. Beckett Barlow finished with 11 saves.
KENNEBUNK 3, FALMOUTH 1: Blake Dallara tapped in a cross from Ben Urban in the 41st minute to break a 1-1 tie, and Drew Sliwkowski added an insurance goal in the 60th minute as the Rams (7-4-1) beat the Navigators (4-4-2) in Kennebunk.
George Lazos opened the scoring for Kennebunk, heading home an Urban corner kick. Falmouth’s Mikey Christman finished off a through ball from Wyatt Carlson for the tying goal later in the first half.
Caden Berry stopped six shots for the Navigators, while Dylan Jones recorded four saves for Kennebunk.
RICHMOND 8, PINE TREE ACADEMY 0: Hunter Mason notched a hat trick and Benjamin Fournier had two goals and four assists, leading the Bobcats (8-1) to a win over the Breakers (4-3) in Richmond.
Kenny Mecham, David Edwards and Cody Fournier each chipped in with a goal. Edwards also played part of the game at goalkeeper, splitting time with Finn Foster.
FIELD HOCKEY
BIDDEFORD 3, SCARBOROUGH 0: Ayla Lagasse scored two goals and set up the other, and Corinne Ramunno had a goal and two assists as the Tigers (8-3) defeated the Red Storm (4-6) in Biddeford.
Cadence Goulet made seven saves for the shutout. Scarborough’s Jamilla Muhammad stopped 11 shots.
CHEVERUS 4, NOBLE 0: Lucy Johnson recorded her fifth hat trick of the season, and the Stags (9-0) stretched their regular-season winning streak to 41 games by shutting out the Knights (4-4) in Portland.
Mikayla Talbot was the other goal scorer for the No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine poll.
SANFORD 2, MASSABESIC 1: Audrey Payeur converted two penalty corners in the third quarter for the Spartans (4-5) as they downed the Mustangs (6-4-1) in Sanford.
Charlize Anderson put Massabesic on the board when she scored from the middle of the circle late in the third quarter.
Megan Sheppard made five saves for Sanford, while Lydia Suhy recorded 10 saves for the Mustangs.
CAMDEN HILLS 2, OXFORD HILLS 1: Delfina de Acevedo Ramos scored twice, including the winner in overtime, as the Windjammers (4-5-1) beat the Vikings (3-5-1) in Paris.
Brynn Bean scored for Oxford Hills, and Vikings goalie Gabby Wright made eight saves. Abby Strout finished with four saves for Camden Hills.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/NYA 0, OAK HILL 0: Sierra Lane stopped 22 shots for Oak Hill as the Raiders (4-5-2) played to a scoreless tie against the Patriots (4-4-2) in Wales.
Gray-New Gloucester goalie Sam Poulin finished with seven saves.
VOLLEYBALL
GREELY 3, WELLS 0: Anabelle Talley and Alyssa Hilbers each served six aces, and Molly Mulligan had five kills and a block as the Rangers (7-3) defeat the Warriors (1-8) in three sets in Cumberland, 25-7, 25-17 and 25-19.
Talley also had three kills.
