On Nov. 7 we will be voting for Windham representatives for the RSU 14 board. This letter represents me as a private citizen and not as a member of the RSU 14 board. I will be voting for Marge Govoni and Joe Kellner.
The original letter I wanted to have printed included an unedited slanderous and libelous online posting about me by one of the other candidates, although that candidate denies writing it. However, the Lakes Region Weekly wouldn’t publish it, which I understand.
Using words like that candidate used and divisive memes should disqualify that person as a school board member. If elected, that person could pose a continued disruptive threat to RSU 14 schools. I know that all members of the school board will not agree on all the topics, and that is fine. However, people with different opinions should be able to talk about them without being disrespectful, slanderous and libelous.
Please vote for Marge Govoni and Joe Kellner because they are reasonable people and will be able to have difficult conversations respectfully.
