Prince Memorial Library in Cumberland will host a spoken word workshop for LGBTQ+ teens and allies on Tuesday, Oct. 17. from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A performance will take place on Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
Telling Room teaching artist and spoken word poet James Kim will lead the writing and performing workshop. Students in grades 6-12 will get the opportunity to develop, practice and perform a spoken word piece. They can perform an original or non-original work solo, in pairs or in groups.
