To everyone living with domestic violence, from a survivor of domestic violence who is 77 years old: Get help now!
In the past several days, there have been reports in the Portland Press Herald of two men arrested for serious domestic violence crimes. As a survivor, I know it’s hard to take the first step to leave. It took me 43 years to leave. I was dying a slow, painful death, not realizing there were many people out there to help me.
I am sending each of you all my love and prayers. Don’t accept abuse from anyone. It’s never too late to leave!
