I am writing to express my support for Democrat Teresa Pierce in Maine House District 44.
Teresa demonstrated a practical, collaborative, empathic approach to key problems on the Falmouth Town Council. She understands that our budgets must be realistic while infrastructure is maintained and a high-quality education is delivered. She’s a steady supporter of cost-effective regionalization efforts while being able to discern when savings are worth the trade-offs posed.
Teresa values equal access to strong public education from pre-K through post-secondary schooling. She fights for employment opportunities and training needed to move Maine’s economy forward. She recognizes the need to eliminate food insecurity particularly among children, a situation currently affecting 62,800 children in Maine.
Teresa has the acumen to tackle the challenges of this difficult economic period in our great state. I hope that citizens in District 44 will join me in voting for Teresa.
