BATH — Josephine F. Mallett, 90, a resident of Hawthorne House in Freeport and formerly of Brunswick, died May 9 at Maine Medical Center.
She was born July 17, 1918 in Dover, England, the daughter of William and Susan (Redmond) Blythe.
She married Joseph J. Mallett on March 3, 1945, in England.
In 1946, they moved to Lisbon, and then later moved to Brunswick in 1980.
She loved working with people and was accomplished at knitting and needle point.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1982, and three brothers.
Survivors include her son Dana and his wife Karen of Cape Elizabeth; grandchildren, Shane and his wife Akiko of East Hartford, Conn., Jerad of Cape Elizabeth, Keely Cooper and husband James of Mulvane, England; and a niece and nephew.
Interment will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery followed by a private family service.
Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
