Fire and Rescue

Between March 13 and March 18, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported eight pateients to Maine Medical Center and one to Mercy Hospital.

On March 13, at around 10:20 a.m., the fire department responded to an activated alarm on Scott Dyer Road. On March 16, at around 9 a.m., the fire department responded to a water problem on Philip Road and, at around 6:45 p.m., to smoke in a house on Patricia Drive. On March 17, at around 11:30 a.m., the fire department responded to a tree burning on wires on State Avenue.

St. Pat’s party busted

On March 17, at around 11 p.m., the Cape Elizabeth police responded to the Fowler Road area for a juvenile with possible alcohol poisoning. When officers arrived at the home, they found an underage drinking party being hosted by a minor. Officers provided medical attention to the minor until the ambulance arrived. Authorities reported scattered beer and liquor bottles strewn throughout the house. Officers found several minors still upstairs and all admitted to drinking.
