Home repair fraud
On Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:21 a.m., police spoke with a resident from the Shore Acres area about an “incident of home repair fraud.” Police said attempts to contact the contractor were unsuccessful.
Arrests
Oct. 16
Kimberly Dawn Cummings, 29, 442. St. John Street, Portland, at Kettle Cove on a warrant for operating after suspension, and a warrant for failure to register a motor vehicle.
Fire/rescue calls
Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6, Fire Department transported seven people to Maine Medical Center and one person to Mercy Hospital.
On Oct. 2 at 8:09 a.m., the fire department responded to a firm alarm on Scott Dyer Road. At 11:03 a.m., the fire department assisted at an address in South Portland.
On Oct. 4 at 4:15 p.m., the fire department responded to a broken water pipe on Pond View Road.
