Naples Winter Carnival

The Eighth Annual Naples Winter Carnival will be held at the Naples Dock on Long Lake Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18. Events include snowmobile Radar Runs on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The snowmobile Poker Rally will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with stops arranged at the Clubhouse for food and beverages.

Other activities include a 50/50 raffle, snow sculptures for families, helicopter rides, childrens’ activities at the Town Gym, food booths, fireworks on the Causeway Saturday at 6 p.m. followed by a bonfire, and end of carnival party at Bray’s Pub Sunday at 5 p.m. For more information, contact Chair Dan Allen at 318-6965 or go to the Club’s Web site www.muddyriversnoseekers.org. for updated information.

Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Business Break

The monthly Business Break of the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at U.S. Cellular, 765 Roosevelt Trail, the North Windham Shopping Center on Route 302 in Windham. This event is open to all businesses in the Sebago Lakes Region.

The Business Break is an active networking business event, presented in a social atmosphere hosted by a Chamber business member. Please bring your business card to enter the Chamber raffles, and for a chance to win the grand prize of a Business Profile featured in the next edition of the Chamber newsletter. Community fundraiser

The Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is conducting a community fundraiser in the region by selling 50/50 raffle tickets for $5 each or 6 for $25. One lucky winner gets half of all money raised. You may purchase your tickets at these outlets: Maine Bank and Trust Co., Windham; Evergreen Credit Union, Windham and Naples; Norway Savings Bank, Windham and Naples; The UPS Store, Windham; Coldwell Banker – Lakes Region Properties in Naples, DownEast Engraving in Naples; Key Bank in Windham, and the Chamber Office, 816 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, and the Chamber booth at the Ice Mall during the Maine Winterfest and Derby.

The drawing will be held at Point Sebago, on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, during the evening’s social event. You do not need to be present to win! Participants must be 18 years of age. All proceeds will benefit the community activities held annually in the Sebago Lakes Region. The Chamber is a corporate sponsor of the Maine Winterfest and Derby, and the Naples Winter Carnival.
