The Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter will hold its annual meeting and volunteer recognition ceremony, Friday, Nov. 10, from 8:30-11:45 a.m., at the DoubleTree Hotel in Portland.
The meeting features a keynote presentation entitled “Heartwork is Hard Work,” and an Alzheimer’s research update by geriatric psychiatrist Dr. Susan Wehry.
There will also be a two-hour afternoon workshop with Wehry entitled “Confusion in 3D: Dementia, Delirium and Depression.”
The cost to attend is $30 for the morning session, which includes breakfast, and $50 for the afternoon training workshop. Advance registration is requested. For more information, or to register, call (800) 660-2871.
