FALMOUTH — Lane and road closures on Lunt Road over Interstate 295 are scheduled from March 3-Aug. 29, according to the Maine Department of Transportation, during a $3 million project to replace the Lunt Road bridge.
The project also includes approximately 600 feet of approach work. The goal is to provide wider shoulders and a sidewalk for safer use by pedestrians and cyclists.
MDOT will build the new bridge in phases to maintain at least one lane of travel on Lunt Road throughout construction. Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
