Residents at OceanView and I know well there’s a gem just down the hill. It’s the Falmouth Memorial Library, and it deserves our support on Nov. 6.
As a leader in this community and its largest taxpayer, I believe the library is a vital resource now and in the future. It needs to expand to continue as a center of learning and intellectual fulfillment.
I have built and operate OceanView and other retirement communities in Maine within budgets my residents can afford. Current construction budgets are a challenge because of a limited supply of subcontractors. This necessitates us all sharpening our design and construction budgets to what the community is willing to support now and in the long run. I am confident the library will do this work.
