SACO — Constantine (Dean) Demetrios Doukeris was born to his parents Demetrios Constantine Doukeris and Katherine Mendros Doukeris in New York City on Sept. 25, 1948.

He graduated from Thornton Academy in 1966, and from the University of Maine Orono in 1971, with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Business Administration.  He then attended and graduated from Maine Business School at the University of Maine in Orono in 1973, with a Master of Business Administration degree.

He was licensed by the State of Maine as a Certified Public Accountant and as a Real Estate Broker until his death on Jan. 25, 2019. He was employed as a CPA by Ernst and Ernst, Hannaford Brothers Corporation, and ITT Inc. before he established Land’s End Realty in Saco, Maine in 1986, which he owned and operated until his death.

He served as a Saco city counselor and for many years served as a trustee of the Dyer Library and Saco Museum and on the board of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco.

He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Venetta Tsomides Doukeris; his two daughters, Christina Doukeris Superina and Alicia Doukeris; his son-in-law, Nicholas Superin;, his two grandchildren, Katherine Superina and Vincent Superina; and his sister, Harriet Doukeris Chassie. He was happiest spending time with his family and loved summers at Kinney Shores Beach and annual family trips to Disney World with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His two girls and his two grandchildren were his pride and joy and his whole life was dedicated to them.

A private service and burial will be conducted at the St. Demetrios Hellenic Orthodox Cemetery.
