Shauni Cowan, Scarborough, senior, back: A first-team all-SMAA selection last year, Cowan is a heady defender who is always in position.
Kylie Dalbec, Portland, senior, forward: Dalbec transferred from NYA, where she had nine goals and eight assists for the Class C state champs. A very gifted stick-handler, she sees the field well and makes pinpoint passes.
Susannah Daggett, Yarmouth, senior, center back: While she plays in the defensive end, she is experienced and talented enough to dribble the ball up field and join the offense.
Jenn Davis, Kennebunk, senior, forward: A first-team all-SMAA selection, she had three goals and 10 assists last year.
Lani Edwards, South Portland, junior, goalie: Already in her third year as a starter, Edwards is an aggressive goalie who will challenge shooters at every chance.
Stephanie Felt, Scarborough, junior, back: She scored seven goals last year — all off penalty corners — and had 11 assists. But it’s on defense where she excels, providing a formidable presence at that end of the field.
Megan Fortier, Falmouth, senior, midfielder: A transfer from NYA, Fortier brings big-time scoring and experience to the Yachtsmen. She scored 25 goals last year, including the winner in the Class C state championship game. She also had eight assists.
Caitlin LaFountain, Mt. Ararat, sophomore, midfielder: She had six goals and four assists last year as one of the Eagles’ top scorers.
Sarah LaQuerre, Cheverus, senior, midfielder: She had 13 goals and two assists last year to help the Stags reach the Class A state championship game. Very poised and an excellent stick-handler with great instincts, she may move to left wing to help balance the attack.
Allison Lemay, Westbrook, senior, left wing: Lemay had 11 goals last year and looks to be even stronger this year. She has great instincts in the circle.
Molly McVetty, Windham, senior, forward: McVetty scored seven goals last year in earning first-team all-SMAA honors.
Katherine Millett, North Yarmouth Academy, senior, forward: Millett had 38 goals and seven assists for the Class C state champs and will once again be counted upon to provide leadership and scoring for a young team.
Corinne O’Connor, Brunswick, senior, back: A four-year starter, she has great experience and is always in the right position.
Kat Ouellette, McAuley, sophomore, midfielder: A transfer from Winthrop, she sees the field well and leads the transition from defense to offense with her hard drives.
Morgan Ouellette-Foss, Thornton Academy, senior, forward: The Trojans’ second-leading scorer last year with seven goals and two assists, she had some clutch goals to help them to the Western Class A semifinals.
Kelsey Pequinot, Gorham, senior, center back: The leader on defense, she is always making sure everyone is in position. Plays on both offensive and defensive corners.
Danielle Pierce, Sacopee Valley, senior, center midfielder: She has great game sense and stick skills, enabling her to transition the ball from defense to offense quickly.
Taylor Porter, Camden Hills, senior, right wing: A three-year starter, Porter has tremendous stick skills and is an exceptional passer.
Cari Posternak, York, senior, center forward: She had six goals and nine assists for the Wildcats in helping them to the Class B state championship game. Extremely smart and capable with the stick, she may also play a lot in the midfield.
Caley Presby, Deering, senior, goalie: A first-team all-SMAA selection, Presby made 246 saves in 14 games.
Alex Staples, Massabesic, sophomore, midfielder: She was one of the Mustangs’ leading scorers last year in her first varsity season. She has great stick skills and game sense.
Allison Ward, Oceanside, senior, center midfielder: A very heady player who plays on both offensive and defensive corners, she is the leader of a veteran midfield group.
