ORONO — A visit by the second of four finalists for the presidency at the University of Maine is rescheduled for mid-February.
Paul Ferguson, Southern Illinois University vice president for academic affairs, is now scheduled to visit Orono Feb. 16-17. His visit, previously scheduled for yesterday and today, was delayed due to the snowstorm that complicated travel plans. Ferguson will visit with students, faculty and staff at UMaine.
Two other candidates, Daniel Julius, vice president for academic affairs at the University of Alaska System of Higher Education, and Donald Farish, president of Rowan University in New Jersey, will also visit.
The other finalist, James Page, CEO of James W. Sewall Co., paid a visit earlier this week.
Current UMaine President Robert Kennedy is stepping down in June.
