A natural gas leak in Gorham briefly closed two major roads and forced the evacuation of 10 homes Thursday morning before crews were sent out to repair it.
The leak occurred after a contractor working on a new home ruptured a line on Tink Drive.
Emergency officials closed Main Street and New Portland Road briefly as a precaution, but the leak was dealt with quickly by utility crews, who were aided by strong winds that helped dissipate the gas in the air, town officials said.
