A Sanford man was arrested Wednesday on charges of trafficking drugs and violating parole.
Adam Hill, 33, was booked into the York County Jail on charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class A felony, and violation of conditions of release, a Class E misdemeanor.
Police stopped Hill on Cheney Street in Springvale after seeing a suspicious vehicle.
They determined that Hill did not have a valid driver’s license and arrested him on a charge of operating after suspension.
After searching Hill at the Sanford Police Department, police found 17 grams of heroin and $2,400 cash in his possession.
Hill was free on conditional release for a prior criminal offense, so bail was not set.
He is expected to appear in court Friday.
