The City of Portland is seeking interested members of the community to serve on a stakeholder committee for the planned reconstruction of the Martin’s Point Bridge. The stakeholder committee will be a part of the Maine Department of Transportation led bridge design development process.
The bridge’s replacement is scheduled to begin construction 2014. The city is looking for one to three members of the community that travel along the bridge as a part of their routine commute. They will serve on the committee along with business representatives from local businesses including B&M Baked Beans and Martin’s Point Health Center, representatives from the bicycle-pedestrian community and members of the East Deering Neighborhood Association.
Residents interested in being a part of the stakeholder committee should submit a letter of interest by April 23rd attention City Councilor Cheryl Leeman via mail at 389 Congress Street, Portland ME 04010 or email at cl@portlandmaine.gov.
